Workers on the shop floor hold a wealth of undocumented tribal knowledge, while industrial assets share data about their conditions and behavior in an often unstructured manner. MaMaTa’s goal is to decode and reconcile these two sides of the same story, providing knowledge that is understandable and usable for both OEMs and shop floor workers.

Existing platform solutions were insufficient for their needs, lacking the power, flexibility, and data processing capabilities essential for industrial use cases. Knowing this, MaMaTa used Cognite Data Fusion® to create a comprehensive knowledge graph that links similar assets, enriching the overall understanding of the machinery. This modular, configurable system ensures that connecting new equipment is straightforward and that valuable information flows immediately, especially for standard components or functions. Advanced Data Modeling: Cognite Data Fusion’s flexible data modeling service allowed MaMaTa to create a comprehensive and detailed data model. This enabled the storage of every piece of data, whether time series or expert knowledge, in a standardized way. The ability to model complex equipment structures down to individual components significantly enhanced data organization and accessibility.

Data Understanding with Cognite Charts and low-code applications: With Charts, MaMaTa could analyze and understand data more effectively. This tool acted as a prototyping playground, enabling the identification of issues such as motor current oscillations and chain tension problems in industrial ovens. Cognite Data Fusion®, also enables users to create custom advanced diagnostic tools. Using this functionality, MaMaTa built and deployed a low-code data application to perform Fast Fourier Transform calculations to analyze and monitor their equipment performance.

User-Friendly Insights Delivery: MaMaTa built a front-end portal using Cognite Data Fusion’s API and SDK, providing actionable insights to Mecatherm and its customers. The portal presented refined and contextualized data, facilitating quick responses to new customer needs. The seamless integration of data collection, processing, and visualization ensured an agile and responsive solution.
