PHOENIX – March 17th, 2026 – Cognite, the global leader in industrial AI, today announced Cognite Fellow Aleksandra Knödlseder has been named one of Norway’s 50 top women in tech for 2026 by Abelia and ODA Network. Abelia is the national association of the Norwegian Confederation of Employers and Consumers (NHO) for knowledge and technology businesses, and ODA is the Nordic region's leading network for diversity in tech.
Every year since 2017, Abelia and ODA Network have recognised Norway’s 50 top women in tech – establishing a leading network for diversity in the tech sector across the Nordic region. Their initiative not only celebrates the exceptional women in the technology sector, but aims to actively impact women’s representation in Norway’s technology and management domains.
“This recognition represents more than an individual achievement. It’s a win for everyone who believes in and has both the grit and passion to eliminate silos, challenge the status quo, and leverage technology to bring value to industrial operations,” said Aleksandra. “I’m proud to stand alongside so many inspiring women who are shaping the future of tech in Norway and beyond.”
Aleksandra is a Senior Principal Maintenance Specialist at Cognite, with more than 20 years of experience across the oil and gas value chain. She has distinguished herself through her leadership in applying AI to reliability and maintenance processes, including the development of AI agents for root cause analysis. Some Cognite customers have achieved on average a 60% improvement in process efficiency, leading to corresponding reductions in downtime.
"Aleksandra is an exceptional technologist whose focus on delivering tangible customer value has influenced how she approaches her work. Beyond ensuring alignment with key internal stakeholders, she also seeks to understand our customers’ toughest challenges, and has been key in defining how we apply AI to solve industrial workflows like root cause analysis.” said Geir Engdahl, Chief Technology Officer at Cognite. "Her relentless focus on business impact made her a natural choice to lead our Center of Excellence for Maintenance and Reliability, where we all benefit from the best practices she’s learned throughout her career.”
